Dear Kihei Charter School Parents and Students.
We come to the end of another great, and incredibly busy school year here at Kihei Charter School.
I am so proud to be able to serve the wonderful students here and the entire Kihei Charter School community – you have heard me say so many times that I have the best job in the world and, on a daily basis, this is reinforced to me. Thank you for all you do to make coming to work such a pleasure for all of us who are privileged to work here. Our staff thanks you for sharing your children with us each day they come to school.
As we come to a close to the 2016-2017 school year, we continue to plan for the upcoming year. After the first lottery in early April, we have waitlists in most grades K-5. The next school year will be the last of the blended instruction as we look forward to the following year as an elementary “brick and mortar” school at our new campus.
Here is a look at the end of year events for the month of May:
May 9 – Holoholo Book Mobile on campus
May 25 – Semester Two Exhibition! All students arrive at 9:00 am for exhibition set-up. Parents, friends and administration are invited to join us at 10:00 for the K-5 Exhibition. Students in grades K-4 are released at 11:30.
Fifth graders are asked to stay for an end of elementary school luncheon from 12:00 – 1:00.
Please RSVP by email no later than Monday, May 22.
May 26 – Field Day at Waipuilani Park, Kihei (in front of the Sunset Condominiums 9:00-11:00 for all grades. There are no regular classes that day. This is the last day of school.
In planning ahead, if your child will be with us next year, the first day of school is Monday, August 7. The grade level schedule will be the same as this year at the elementary school.
We look forward to seeing you all at the end of the year events!
