January 21, 2020
Dear First-Grade ‘Ohana,
Welcome back to the 2020 school year! I apologize for my delay in posting to the Weebly. I was unable to log back on after Winter Break. I’m hoping this will all get figured out this week and I will be able to continue to post regularly and keep you updated.
IXL homework for week:
Math: V2, Select Two Dimensional shapes.
Language Arts: HH1, Complete the Sentence with an Action Verb to Match the Picture
All IXL homework is due by Friday, January 24 at 8:00 a.m. Please keep up with the IXL homework and do not work ahead, as this makes it difficult to track the weekly grades. If your students really wants to do computer work at home, they can do ABC mouse.
All students should be working on an Upcycle Project at home. The projects are due back to class by Friday, January 31. I sent home a detailed letter about the project at the beginning of the month along with ideas. Please let me know if you have any questions.
I also have attached our School Supply list that went home before Thanksgiving. Many students have not brought back their school supplies. If you have not purchased them yet, please do so as soon as you can. Mahalo!
And lastly, a student in class had ukus this week. Please make sure to be diligent in checking your children for ukus and treat if necessary in order to stop the spread. Mahalo for your kokua!
Aloha,
Ms. Emily
