Dear First-Grade ‘Ohana,
The IXL homework for the week is as follows:
Math: M2 ( Place Value Numbers as Tens and Ones up to 20)
Language Arts: KK1 ( Use the correct article a or an), P2 (Choose the right r-controlled vowel)
PWF Field Trip
We are all very excited for our Whale Watch on Thursday, March 5. All students must take the bus over to the Pacific Whale Foundation departing at 9:00 a.m. that day. All chaperones can meet us at the PWF classroom at 9:30. I will be sending home chaperone information this week. We will return to Ma’alea Harbor at noon on Thursday, and have a quick lunch and then head back to KCS. All students must return in the bus as well.
Conferences and Grades
I sent out a Sign-Up Genius to parents I was hoping to meet with at conferences scheduled for Tuesday, March 10. I have noticed that some parents have signed up at the same time on the Sign-up Genius. Please double check your times. I can only meet with one parent at a time and I will honor the first person who signed up in the duplicate time. If you added your name to a slot that was already taken, please find another empty available slot. Also, as a reminder there will be no school on Monday, March 9 and Tuesday, March 10.
Classroom Wellness
I am looking for classroom donations of more non-Clorox wipes. These really help us keep the classroom clean and make sure we are not spreading sick germs along during this cold and flu season. Please send in any wipes you would like to donate with your child. We are almost all out, so all donations are appreciated. Mahalo!
I am also trying punch cards with the students so they can earn stickers for good behavior and then trade them in for a prize. If you have any stickers, pencils or any other non-edible items you would like to contribute to the prize box, please send them in anytime with your students. Mahalo!
Aloha,
Ms. Emily
