Thank you all for meeting last week during our student led conferences. I am very proud of each student for leading the conference!
Our school is officially collecting box tops. Start collecting and send them in. There is a March challenged the class who collects the most box tops will earn a surprise.
The annual Lua'u on March 9th. It will be a great night full of food, entertainment and fun. Tickets are $50 each. You can purchase from Ellen Federoff or look for the sale outside the school. All proceeds go to KCS athletics.
Spring break will be upon us soon, mark your calendars students will have a half day on Friday March 15th and will be off for spring break beginning Monday March 18th returning to school on Wednesday March 27th.
This Week At A Glance:
We will continue with fractions this week in math by looking at them on number lines. Students worked hard last week and we have completed the building process for our conventions. This week students will prep and practice for their commercials. We will be presenting these this week to the class. We will then continue looking at our settlement in social studies.
Current Classroom Projects:
Science – Classroom commercials for invention presentations.
Weekly Homework
Students are encouraged to work in programs such as Prodigy and Freckle for additional math and literacy skills practice.
Reading – Students should read at home for at least 20 min. to work on earning their pizza for the month.
Spelling – See the spelling words below, we will have a spelling test Friday March 8th.
