Aloha Families,
I hope everyone had a fantastic long weekend and is ready to begin another wonderful week! I am still awaiting a few computer logins to complete the student login cards, if you are in need of your students logins before I send home the login card please let me know and I will try and get those emailed over to you.
The Book Mobile will be returning to campus with the first visit this Friday August 23rd. If your student does not already have a library card and would like one, please see the information below provided by the Book Mobile.
Library Card Applications:
The application is available online HERE and must be filled out legibly and completely.
The student signs or writes his/her name on the applicant signature line and a parent or guardian signs as indicated on the line below.
Please write the school, grade level, and teacher’s name on the upper right corner of each application.
The bookmobile staff needs to receive completed applications at least one week ahead of our visit. The information must be verified by the teacher. Applications may be scanned and emailed HERE or faxed to Wailuku Public Library at (808) 243-5768. Parents may also visit a public library with their child to apply for a library card.
In The Classroom:
This week we will hit our math centers in full swing! Students did a fantastic job on Thursday during our first full trial in our classroom. Our cursive letter will focus on the letter d, and in grammar we will take a look at action verbs. In social studies we will review land forms and work towards early settlers.
We will have our first spelling test this week on Friday. Please look below for a copy of this week's words. Please have your student practice at home if additional practice is needed each week.
