Reminder we will be attending the Maui Farm on Thursday November 14, 2019. As a reminder all students must wear their KCS logo t-shirt as well as CLOSED TOE SHOES. Students should also have a WATER BOTTLE with them that day as well. Please apply sunscreen to students before their arrival at school and students are encouraged to wear a hat that day. If you have any questions please let me know.
The cost of the trip will be a farm suggested $5.00 cash donation. Please have your student bring this to school with them on Thursday November 14, 2019. If you have any questions please let me know.
Students will be released at noon on Wednesday November 27th, there will be no aftercare of KYC transportation that day. In addition there will be no school on Thursday November 28th and Friday November 29th in observance of Thanksgiving.
Mark your calendars the K-5 school exhibition will take place on Friday December 20th from 11:00am - 12:00pm all students will be released at noon, there will be no after care, or KYC transportation that day.
In The Classroom:
In math we will continue looking at measuring to the nearest half inch and fourth inch. Along with measuring liquid volume and mass. Students may choose to practice more at home using IXL BB.3 and BB.15.
We will continue reading our small group book Wishtree,by Katherin Applegate this week while continuing to examine reading key points. Students will work on writing this week and learn how to recap a question while providing details.
At Home:
Please make sure students read for at least 20 min. a day, and track the information on their Book It tracking forms.
We will have a spelling test on Friday. Please have students study as needed, please remember students are able to practice via the online program found at https://www.spellingcity.com/ if they would like.
