Please make sure that everyone is keeping up with their Book It Program and reading daily!
Please note that Wednesday November 21st will be a half day and there will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday November 22nd and Friday November 23rd, in observance of Thanksgiving.
Our class is currently creating a 3D diorama of the 5 major climates. Each student will need to bring in a small box no later than Thursday November 15th.
KCS is currently collecting canned food for the Maui food bank. Collections will take place until November 16th. This is a great opportunity for students to participate in an act of kindness for our community, let’s show them what 3rd grade is made of!
We will begin hosting the Holoholo Book mobile at our school. With the first appearance on Tuesday November 13th. They will be coming about every three weeks. If your child does not have their own library card, please visit your local library branch to fill out a form.
School Wide Planting Party: The school will be hosting another planting part this Saturday November 17th from 8:00am – 11:00am, check out the email sent from Ms. Leslie for more details.

This Week At A Glance:
This week students will continue to work on learning their multiplication thru the Times Tales program. We will complete the program this week and we will then switch our focus to understanding multiplication with continued practiced in order to master the multiplication tables.
In reading students will continue learning about types of questions
We will also continue in science learning about the 5 major climates and we will create our 3D diorama models in class this week.
Reading – Students should read at home for at least 20 min. to work on earning their pizza for the month.
Spelling (As Needed) – Practice weekly spelling words, students will have a test on Friday.
***We will have some in class weekly activities to practice spelling, however some students may need additional practice at home. ***
