Spirit Week is this week! If your student chooses to participate you will find the daily themes below. If your child wishes not to participate they are required to wear their school uniform shirt. All outfits for the week must be school appropriate as per the student handbook. There are no masks permitted on any day.
Monday - Pajama Day
Tuesday - Superhero/Villain Day
Wednesday - Decades Day
Thursday - Character Day
Friday - Aloha wear (May Day)
May Day will take place Friday, May 10th at 9:30 am. The festivities will take place at our school up on the deck, we invite all parents and friends to come and partake in our celebration of the Hawaiian arts and culture. Students will participate in classroom activities after the performance.
As a class we are looking for donations of pipe cleaners, and materials for building such as cardboard boxes, bottles, containers, tape and small hot glue sticks for our hot glue guns.
Students are also in need of either 1 poster board, or 1 small box with a lid, such as a shoe box, depending on the project they choose for their biography. Students should be aware of the materials they need however to assist in gathering the materials your student needs please check your emails for a list sent out last Friday. Students should bring in either the poster board, or small box with lid by Wednesday May 8th.
K-5 school exhibition Wednesday May 22nd from 2:00 – 3:00pm. All students must be present during the exhibition. Students will remain on campus that day to set up for the exhibition versus being dismissed at 1:15 pm. Parents and friends should arrive at 2:00pm. Please note there will be NO AFTERCARE OR KYC TRANSPORTATION THAT DAY FOR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS.
We will be holding field day this year on campus, our field day will take place on May 29th in the morning, additional details to follow soon.
Last Day of School, May 30th early release at 11:30, NO AFTERCARE OR KYC TRANSPORTATION THAT DAY.
Reminders:
Our school is officially collecting box tops. Start collecting and send them in.
Weekly Homework
Students are encouraged to work in programs such as Prodigy and Freckle for additional math and literacy skills practice.
Reading – Students should read at home for at least 20 min. to work on reading stamina.
Spelling – Spelling test will be on Friday.
