- Continue practicing your math skills we are currently working on this week with IXL Math C.6, challenge yourself and work towards a SmartScore of 100%.
- Teaching children to visualize to build reading comprehension is important. Visualizing is the ability to hear a story and have a mental image about the text. This helps the child create meaning for themselves in their own way based on their own previous experiences. This week read your student a short story, however do not show them the pictures as you read. Have your student sit back and draw pictures as you read the story of the images that comes to their minds. Once your student is done drawing allow them to look through the book to compare their pictures to the book. Have students use their pictures to create a small picture book modeling the book you read together.
