There is a new update of iReady so that you can see your time on task per week. In each subject, click on My Progress in the top right. There you can see exactly how many minutes you’ve done each week. It is the exact way I will be grading you. Please try to work over 60 minutes; 100 is the best! You can also see which lessons you have worked on in this section. (Thanks Arya!)
Science fair experiments should be completed at home and brought in complete with a visual aid (poster) and some way to model your experiment. Posters with all steps and results will be due Wednesday 10/4. The science fair will be Thursday, October 5th. Class will start at 9 am for setup and parents can come see the experiments from 10 to 11:30. Students will be dismissed after cleanup. There will be no virtual that day.
Today you have 3 assignments:
- Make a simple rough draft of the layout for your Volcano Brochure. — Sketch where you will put pictures and titles. —- Decide what you write about the place you are traveling to for the flights flap. —- plan what your front to flaps will look like (I recommend the first flap to have you volcano’s name, your name, and a picture on the first flap. On the second flap you could write the total amount of money spent on your trip or some other activities you will do!)
- Complete TWO KidBiz lessons. First 5 tabs, including thought question. Remember to try to get 100% on the Activity. — Lexie levels will be changing at the end of the month so let’s all try to improve our scores!
- On a piece of paper, make 4 of your own 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication and solve them. Bring this in so I can grade it.
See you soon! Don’t forget your iReady weekly assignment (do it before the weekend!) and start working on your science fair project. Your experiment and poster with steps including results will be due Wednesday!
