Thank you all for a lovely time at Maui Nui Botanical Garden. I hope you enjoyed learning about Hawaiian Canoe plants. Today, you’re going to learn a bit more about one plant! Go to this shared Doc and read the instructions on how to research one plant. Fill in our table with information to share with the class! This will take about 1 hour to 1.5 hours.
Next, spend about 15-30 minutes picking a number you want to use for a factor rainbow. Choose a 3 digit number (or 4 if you want) that can work with a lot of the divisibility rules! Use a different number in each digit (FOR EXAMPLE: 320, 875, 652). Go to the G classroom and write your number under the question! Then, find the factors and write them down on a piece of paper and bring it to school. Just find factors as far as you can, at least to 10. But do more if you can! Then, plan what pattern, color, and style you want your rainbow to be!
Parents, we will do the science experiment from the wish list tomorrow so if you can bring anything, please email me! We're also going to make Hawaiian petroglyphs from plaster of paris hopefully next week!
See you at 12:00!
