Homework this week: Please complete 60 minutes of iReady MATH.
Today you have 6 assignments.
First, practice some more 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication. Complete IXL Math D.19. You will need a piece of scrap paper to write out these problems, they are word problems.
Second, practice your skills by playing THIS game! Use scrap paper again to solve and try to solve 15/15 problems. Then write your score on the G classroom question! You can see other students’ scores but the score doesn’t matter because the monster can steal your points, so it's just for fun! Spend up to 1 hour playing this game.
Third, complete C.1, C.2, and C.3 on IXL Language Arts.
Fourth, watch episode 2 of OiwiTV! This is about greetings and introductions. Take short notes while you watch and then introduce yourself on the G classroom question.
Fifth, learn the oli (chant) that was performed in the episode by watching THIS video. It is called “I Ku Mau Mau” and this version is performed by Uncle Vene Chun!
Sixth, go to our Canoe Plants doc and write down your research in your journal You need to know:
- Where it came from and how it came to Hawaii
- English and Hawaiian name, what it looks like
- Uses in ancient Hawaiian society
- One extra fun fact!
With any remaining time, finish any missing assignments. Email me with the assignment name and the score when you finish. If it is a paper assignment, turn it in tomorrow to Ms. Crystal.
