Next, go to this Wikipedia page and check out all the historical sites in Hawaii. These are places, natural or manmade, that have some historical importance in Hawaii! Go to this doc and write the name of the place that you might like to research and build. You can write two for now if you can't decide and you don't need to pick from only this list. You can google "historical sites on Maui" etc to find somewhere else. This is for our final project, Building a Historical Site. This will be an at-home building project with a research essay. Students will need a platform to build on (like poster board or cardboard) and can build their site out of any material (like sugar cubes, popsicle or other sticks, paper, clay, lego, anything!). We will talk more about this on Friday and more info will be posted on Monday, just spend today choosing a site!
If you have not emailed me your talent, please do that today. Also tell me if you want to perform your talent or TUT lesson at Kalama Heights Senior Living on Tuesday!
Today is the last day for our Reading Logs! Remember to read today and bring them in tomorrow!
Last, two of today's lessons will be Ripstik and Hoverboard. If you want to try either one, please check with your parents. You will need your parent's permission to try them. Parents, if you do NOT want your child to ride, please email me. EDIT: I have decided no one will be riding the boards, as it could be a safety issue. We will watch our "teachers" show off their skills!
