Today you have 3 assignments:
First, very important! Take out the form I sent home yesterday, have your parent fill it out, put it back in your backpack and bring it to school today! If every student brings this in today, I will add 5 extra minutes to your break today!
Then, watch ʻŌiwi TV Episode 1. This video is about Olelo Hawaii (Hawaiian Language) and 30 minutes. It should make you feel pretty good about your Hawaiian language skills because much of what the video teaches is what we have already learned in class! However, there is a lot of Hawaiian spoken by the teacher but just enjoy hearing this beautiful language. You do not need to take notes but you WILL need to write sentences about something you learned from the video and you should try to speak out loud during the lesson and follow along with the subtitles!
When you finish the video, go to our Google Classroom and write at least two sentences about something you learned from the video. This can be new words, grammar rules, place names, cultural or historic ideas, or anything!
Last, complete on IXL Math D.6 (Multiply 1-digit numbers by 3-digit and 4-digit numbers) to a SmartScore of 70 (don’t forget to challenge yourself to get a higher score!). You will need a piece of scrap paper to write out and solve the questions.
With any remaining time, work on your your iReady weekly Math homework and don’t forget to add your completed lessons to your Google Doc! This is a good way to remember what you have learned throughout the year.
See you at 12:00!
