--- I need all money turned in to the middle school by tomorrow or else your student will not participate in the field trip.
--- I need the waivers returned by next Wednesday either on paper or electronically. We will go to see the petroglyphs on November 8th.
As a reminder, students and parents should READ the blog together and write the assignments in your planner. Then, students should WORK alone to complete their assignments to the best of their ability. This helps practice responsibility, self-directed learning, and hard-work! Also, please complete lessons in the order they are assigned. Finally, parents should REVIEW their student’s work to be sure it is correct and complete. Thank you! (Also check out the School Announcements page for more info).
Today you have 3 assignments.
- Go to THIS website and read about Time Order Transitions. Then, use what you learned and write a rough draft of your first TWO body paragraphs (NOT intro, conclusion, and 3rd body paragraph, just the first two activities you did over fall break).
--- Use your mind mapping paper from Tuesday.
--- Indent the first word and write clearly on a piece of lined paper. Skip a line between each line (not each sentence) so that we can edit in class today.
--- Each body paragraph starts with a topic sentence and at least three detail sentences and a closing sentence. So each paragraph will have at least 5 sentences.
--- Use at least two time order transitions in each paragraph (you can use more than just the ones from the website). - IXL E1 and E3. Try to get 100 but 80 SmartScore is complete.
- Tomorrow we start ‘ukulele lessons with Ms. Pomai. In your journal, write a list of expectations (like rules) for this new music class. Title it ‘Ukulele Expectations. Think of at least 4 expectations and rules that students must follow when we are preparing, playing, and finishing our music lessons. Be detailed and respectful.
Now, go directly to the middle school and pay for the field trip!
