Please start to gather your supplies for your historic site building. We will start building them in class next Thursday. All students should have a sturdy flat surface to build on (such as a foam board or thick cardboard or even plywood) no larger than about 3 square feet. Recycled material is a great way to ho’onani i ka ‘aina!
Pre-orders for the yearbook are for sale at the middle school.
Today you have 3 assignments. The first MUST BE FINISHED BEFORE SCHOOL and the other two are due by Tuesday.
- Write your next two body paragraphs about your historic site IN YOUR JOURNAL. Remember this should be in your journal so that we don’t have to use internet tomorrow.
—- Use the HS doc and your specific details you wrote for A-D to write your detail sentences. Today your HS partners will help you edit your paragraphs and add quotes.
—- This should take about 1 hour and should be very easy if our use the details you already wrote! Write each paragraph on a different page so it is easier to edit.
—— This MUST be completed before class. - Use a ruler and make the fancy paper into a square and begin your Triangle Quilt final draft. Be sure you have 1 of each of the 6 triangles!
- Finish reading chapter 15 and make your comic page 5. This is due Tuesday. Here are your quotes and summaries for chapters 13 and 14. Make your own for chapter 15.
Chapter 13

Summary: Karana as injured and ran out of water so she crawled to the ravine and when the dogs surrounded her, she ran into the cave and then decided to make a house there too.
