Today you have 6 assignments.
- Complete your science journal for your Hawaiian animal. This should take around 1 hour (if you completed everything on time last week. If you did not, this could take a few hours but it is due today!).
Follow these steps:
- Push CTRL Enter to make a new page for each of the 4 paragraphs.
- Title each page.
- Make sure all 4 paragraphs have at least 6 sentences. That’s a topic sentence, 4 details, and a concluding sentence.
- Make sure each paragraph has a source (website you used) listed on the next line.
- Find ideas for your picture but do not print them (we will draw the pictures!).
- We will make covers in class too!
- SHARE it with me and in the comment section when you send it, tell me if you want me to print it for you.
- Do not print today because I will look them over first.
- Email me if you need anything! - IXL P14. Also retry P10 for a perfect score. There were many questions about reducing on Friday’s test so P10 will help you a lot. We will finish the test tomorrow.
- Take out your fractions practice test and study each section. In your journal, make and solve 3 new examples of each section: drawing, word problem, equivalent, reducing, adding, subtracting, and converting. Don’t just make easy ones! Try your best so you can master the test tomorrow!
- In your journal, write a Silly Spelling Story OR just 25 sentences using the spelling words. I will grade this and last week’s grouping assignment tomorrow.
- Watch THIS video about King Kamehameha then answer the questions on GClass.
- Memorize ALL the words to Hawaii Aloha! Use whatever study skill you can to remember them all: write them down, teach your sibling or parent, sing it a million times, or whatever else works for you! I will be checking you know tomorrow!
- Here are the words that we will be using:
E Hawaiʻi e kuʻu one hānau e
Kuʻu home kulaīwi nei
ʻOli nō au i nā pono lani ou
E Hawaiʻi, aloha ē
O Hawaiʻi, O sands of my birth
My native home
I rejoice in the blessings of heaven
O Hawaiʻi, aloha.
Hui:
E hauʻoli e nā ʻōpio o Hawaiʻi nei
ʻOli ē! ʻOli ē!
Mai nā aheahe makani e pā mai nei
Mau ke aloha, no Hawaiʻi
Chorus:
Happy youth of Hawaiʻi
Rejoice! Rejoice!
Gentle breezes blow
Love always for Hawaiʻi.
