Technology - Ms. Shannon
And here we are, it is the 2nd to last week of this school year. I miss you all so much and cannot wait until we can see each other again. This week for Tech I am giving you the option of completing your favorite thing in Tech this year. You can choose from:
www.ABCMouse.com - Please use the login you have already or if you need your login, please email me and I will send you the login information
www.Code.org - Again, please use the login you have already. If you need your login, please email me and I will send you the login information. Remember, the codes are:
www.Happyclicks.net - The kids know this as "Coloring" and it was always used as their reward for completing something. They love playing around on it, but it's a great site for mouse practice and problem solving.
Have fun and as always, if you have any questions, let me know via the email along the right side of the page.

Let's share our love of art and READING! As the school year comes to a close, let's pass along any books to a friend or stranger. Create your own Roaming Reading Rock with your favorite book character painted on it.
What is a #roamingreadingrock?
A #roamingreadingrock is a painted rock that is inspired by a literary theme. Think about a book that you really liked. Maybe there were some characters in the book that really moved you. Who were they and why did they appeal to you? Check out the example picture. Do you see images from Harry Potter, The Diary of a Whimpy Kid, and Cat in the Hat? Do you see any other images that you recognize? On the back of the rock you will see the following info: #roamingreadingrock.
2. What will I find (or place) under a #roamingreadingrock?
Under a #roamingreadingrock you will find a book or several books. If you find the books under the rock they are yours to read or share with a friend. You may also pass the book(s) on to someone else, if you think they would enjoy the book. Once you pick up a #roamingreadingrock it is your challenge to find book(s) that you no longer need and pass them along to someone else.
3. How do I create a #romaingreadingrock?
Find a rock that is smooth and worn. Use acrylic paint to paint a literary theme on top of the rock. Once it has dried make sure to write #roamingreadingrock on the bottom side of the rock.
4. What do I do if I do not have acrylic paint?
If you do not have acrylic paint please create a bookmark instead of a rock. You can then place the bookmark inside the book and give it to someone to enjoy. You do not need to write #roamingreadingrock on the bookmark.
5. What do I do if I do not have any books to share?
If you do not have any books to share, create your own story! Draw pictures to go along with the words (illustrations). Books can be any reading level. Check with your siblings or parents to see if they have any books they'd like to pass along.
Here are your steps for creating your very own, #roamingreadingrock. If you can do this project as a family, do it together. :)

This week you have many options...
1. Go to the beach and do some running from one end to the other. (10xs)
2. Swim, surf, paddle, etc.
3. Home workout videos (consider some I’ve sent you in the past)
We are so close to the end of this school year! Keep working hard and enjoying time with your family.
Mahalo!
