My name is Mr. Satovich and will be your 5th grade math and science teacher this year. I am really excited to get to know you and your family and be a part of your learning experience.
I will post all necessary information, such as daily agenda, classwork, homework, and virtual work, on this blog for each day of the week. You should check my blog before the beginning of each week as well as daily. It is the student's responsibility to check my blog.

July 27 9:00 - 11:00 Meet and Greet (you may bring your child)
July 28 No School
July 29 9:00 - 1:30 First day of school (bring a snack and lunch is served or bring home lunch)
July 30 8:55 - 11:30 (bring a snack as no lunch is served)
12:00 - 1:00 (parent training last name A - M)
1:00 - 2:00 (parent training last name N - Z)
July 31 Virtual Day - No face-to-face time (students will be assigned work)

IMPORTANT NOTE: On Monday 7/27, parents/guardians will be receiving a permission form packet to be completed on that day. Your student may NOT go into the field if the packet is not completed and returned. I would like all packets completed and returned no later than Monday August 3rd.

3. On a piece of loose leaf paper, write your full name and date in the upper right-hand corner. On the top line, write Science Article. Be sure to write the title of your article below it.
4. Summarize in one paragraph to include an opening, at least 3 supporting sentences, and a closing.
5. Below your paragraph, include three interesting facts about the article that you learned or already knew.
6. Spelling and proper grammar count! If you are unsure on how to spell something check dictionary.com.
7. Be prepared to share in class on Monday 8/3.
