Aloha Families,
If you have not reached out to our assistant athletic director Lauren Labat and you are interested in having your student join in for basketball with the parks and recreation please make sure to email her at [email protected].
Coach Lauren is also seeking parent volunteers to help with couching the basketball teams. If you are interested please reach out to her, she sent out an email today letting us know that if we are unable to find a few parent volunteers we will not be able to join in with the parks and recreation teams. Please email her for more details if you are able to help out in any way!
There will be NO SCHOOL, Monday January 21st in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, enjoy the 3 day weekend!
This Week At A Glance:
Students did a great job last week on the distributive property. There are several steps to learn, and this is often very difficult for students. I am very proud of all of them so make sure to check out your students work when returned later this week! We will be moving on towards division this week, however we will continue to review multiplication daily for memorization and speed.
We have begun our classroom novel The Merlin Missions, Monday with a Mad Genius. This book is a part of the Magic Tree House series and will introduce students to Leonardo Da Vinci. This week we will begin to learn a little more about the life of Leonardo Da Vinci.
In science we are continuing to learn the engineering design process. We began this last week and we will continue with it over the next few weeks.
