No school Friday April 19th in observance of Good Friday, enjoy the 3 day weekend!
Please send students in this week with 1 brown paper bag, similar to a safeway bag and 1 item to create a fossil with such as a shell or plant piece of choosing. Please note your student should bring these items to school by Wednesday April 17th.
Starting Monday April 15, 2019 students will participate in the Smarter Balance State Test. Our class will start by participating 2 hours a day in the morning followed by lunch and a light afternoon. Please make sure your student arrives to school on time and as eaten a full breakfast. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me via email.
Due to testing this week no new spelling words will be given.
We are excited to announce that we will be continuing the tradition of our May Day Ho’ike that will take place on Friday, May 10th (time to be determined). The festivities will take place at our school campus and we invite all parents and friends to come and partake in our celebration of the Hawaiian arts and culture.
We are also excited about our upcoming K-5 school exhibition. Please mark your calendars this will take place on Wednesday May 22nd from 2:00 – 3:00pm. All students must be present during the exhibition. Additional details to follow in the next few weeks.
Our school is officially collecting box tops. Start collecting and send them in.
The next KCS PTSA meeting will be held this Thursday April 18th on campus at 3:30pm in room 105. Please join us!
Students are encouraged to work in programs such as Prodigy and Freckle for additional math and literacy skills practice.
Reading – Students should read at home for at least 20 min. to work on reading stamina.
