Aloha Families,
Please make sure to review the pickup and drop off procedures on the weeblys main announcement page, some adjustments have been made and will begin Tuesday September 4th.
Students should bring their just right book to class Tuesday, and each day this week. We will begin our daily reading in class.
Students will practice their spelling words at home this week in their spelling journals, they will have a test on Monday September 10th, please make sure students bring their spelling journals back to class that day.
In math this week will be working on using our understanding of place value and properties of operations to perform multi-digit math facts while using estimation and the break apart strategy. We will continue to review our math vocabulary as well. Our focus in literacy this week will be to understand sensory details and visual elements of stories. On Friday we will have another STEAM Break Friday activity.
In class this week students will begin math center rotations. Students have been working hard on learning the procedures and expectations of this time. During the center rotations students will meet in small groups allowing for a better individual learning path. We will also slowly begin learning about our literacy rotations. This week I will begin to work with students individually and we will start to set personal reading goals.
All weekly assignments are due by Monday September 10, 2018
