Tuesday
1. IXL Math – U.4, try and get a SmartScore of at least a 90%
2. IXL ELA - DD.1 Use action verbs, try and get a SmartScore of at least a 90%
3. Spelling – Write 5 sentences that each use 2 spelling words. Underline the spelling words. Double check spelling, capital letters and punctuation.
Wednesday

3. Spelling Words – Illustrate each of your list words. Use detail and color. Ask someone at home to label each of your drawings with the correct word from your list.
Thursday
1. IXL Math – U.10, try and get a SmartScore of at least a 90%
2. IXL ELA - DD.2 Identify action verbs, try and get a SmartScore of at least a 90%
3. Spelling – Practice you’re spelling words any way you choose, remember you have a spelling test tomorrow.
Friday
1. Art – We have recently learned to use our 5 senses when reading. We learned that while reading we can be visualizing what the author is writing about, as well as how a character may be feeling. Did you know that artists often share memories and feelings through their art too?
Look at the two paintings HERE and HERE. Each artist choose to paint places they had memories of and knew well. How do you think the artists felt about the locations they choose to paint?
While looking at the two art pieces find the lines in the pictures. In the first picture they are thick, thin, curved, straight, broken, wavy and zigzag. In the second picture the artist used curved lines for the trees.
Today I want you to think of a place you know well. Next use markers and draw a picture of this place. Try to show how you feel about the place as you draw. How many kinds of lines can you use in your picture?

- Last week we completed our unit on rounding, place value, addition properties as well as addition and subtraction strategies. Did you know that several books incorporate some of these math strategies? Watch the video HERE, next try and write your own story that includes math. Make sure to include a title, some illustrations and math problems.
