Here are a few housekeeping issues that are important to remember as we approach the end of the school year:
- School Forms - If you have not already done so, please return your child's 'intent to return' form. You may give it to your child's teacher or bring it to the middle school. The form is due March 4.
- Hawaii State Assessments - The third and fourth grade students have already begun testing in science and reading. They will continue to test on Wednesday afternoons until the end of the quarter. Fifth grade will test after spring break. Please check the grade specific blogs for details.
- Arrival/Dismissal - Please drop your child(ren) off by their scheduled class times. If you do need to drop them off early, please have them wait quietly at the benches outside. Do not drop students off if there is no teacher supervision. Teachers are generally on campus by 8:00.
- Parent/Teacher Communication - If you would like to speak with your child's teacher, please do so prior to the start of class or at the end of the school day. If you prefer, you may make an appointment for another day if you need additional time.
- School Campus - If you need to return to campus prior to the end of the school day to either pick up your child, or drop something off to them please let your child's teacher know ahead of time. We will have your child come outside to meet you at the benches. Parents should not enter the classrooms while class is going on. In an effort to keep our children engaged and focused we are asking for your cooperation to limit distractions.
