Aloha Parents & Guardians,
As we approach the first day of school I want to make you aware of some important information:
The first day of school is Monday, August 5. School start time is 8:10 for students in K through grade 6.
Drop off: Student may not be on campus before 7:15 as there is no adult supervision.
Please drop students off in front of campus. Elementary students will enter through the mauka entrance of the school; middle school students will enter through the main entrance.
There will be Education Assistants assigned outside to direct students.
On the first day of school your student will be given an emergency packet for parents/guardians to complete. All students must return the completed packet on Tuesday, August 6.
Pick Up:
Dismissal is 2:10 for students in grades K-6; Wednesday dismissal is 1:10.
Teachers will wait with students in front of the campus on the sidewalk. K-3 students will wait to the left of the main entrance (mauka side).
K-3 students will be given placards on the first day of school and parents must place the placard on the dashboard when picking up their child beginning on Tuesday.
Grades 4 & 5 will wait on the right side (Makai) of the main entrance.
Middle school students will exit through the main area.
Important: For the week of August 5 only:
We will begin transporting students to KYC beginning the week of August 12. There will not be any KYC transportation the first week of school.
Aftercare is available the first week of school for K-3 students and only for those who have emergency contact information updated and on file. If you are not sure, please check with the office staff. EA’s will be checking ID’s upon student release this year. Parents & Guardians are responsible for communicating with office staff if there are any changes for pick up during the school year.
Open Lab will be available beginning Tuesday, August 6 for students in grades 4-6 who have assigned homework only.
We are looking forward to seeing our students on Monday!
